Things to remember

You can access this audio guide at or after 9.00 am. 

While you visit the St. Peter’s Basilica make sure that you abide by the clothing and carry-on rules of the site.

For your audio guide tour, you must carry headphones, charged smartphones and an FFP2 mask. 

Don’t worry if you forget to bring headphones, there is an option to purchase them at the desk for only €1. 

If you decide to use the traditional audio guide then you will have to submit an ID proof which you can collect from the desk after returning the device. 

As for the clothing rules, on your visit to St. Peter’s Basilica, you cannot wear shorts, short skirts, sleeveless shirts, or anything that does not cover your knees or shoulders. 

Sharp objects, weapons, luggage, and large or liquid bags are not allowed past security. 

The security at the entrance of the basilica is extremely strict and you can only carry a lightweight bag inside the monument. 

Visitors who do not adhere to the entry requirements are denied their visit. 

You’ll have to return the audio guide to the desk at or before 5.30 pm.
